Caja y Caja

Caja y Caja is a wall-mounted light object from CAJAS, our first studio collaboration with Shuko-san of Mano del Sur. The collection comes from a shared appreciation for craftsmanship in Japan and Mexico, and a mutual love for cajas (boxes) as forms used throughout art and design.

Crafted in cherry wood and finished with hand-stitched fabric, Caja y Caja plays with the idea of the box as both structure and canvas—balancing clean geometry with tactile detail. Unlit, it reads as a quiet sculptural object; when switched on, the LED light reveals depth and texture, creating a warm, ambient glow.
