Liliana Porter

Liliana Porter is an interdisciplinary artist whose work spans printmaking, photography, sculpture, and installation, often using small figurines and everyday objects to create poetic and subtly humorous scenes. Through carefully staged compositions, Porter explores themes of time, scale, narrative, and the fragile boundary between reality and fiction. Born in Buenos Aires and later based in New York, she was a co-founder of the influential printmaking workshop New York Graphic Workshop, where she expanded the possibilities of printmaking as a conceptual medium. Porter has exhibited internationally in cities including New York, Madrid, Buenos Aires, and Tokyo. Her work is held in major museum collections such as the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Tate, and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, among many others.
