Gerardo Delgado
Gerardo Delgado is a Spanish painter and architect whose work bridges geometric abstraction, architecture, and conceptual art. Emerging in Spain during the late twentieth century, Delgado developed a practice grounded in systems, structure, and spatial relationships. His paintings often feature precise geometric forms, grids, and layered planes of color that evoke architectural space and mathematical order. Delgado studied architecture at the University of Seville and later became an influential professor and theorist. His work has been widely exhibited across Spain and internationally, and is represented in museum collections including the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo.
