Enzo Esposito

Enzo Esposito is an Italian painter associated with the postwar generation of European abstraction. His work is known for its energetic surfaces, bold gestures, and richly layered pigments that emphasize the physicality of paint. Emerging in the 1980s, Esposito became linked to the revival of expressive painting in Italy, developing compositions that balance dynamic movement with carefully structured color fields. He studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli and has exhibited internationally in cities including Naples, Milan, Berlin, and New York. His work is held in numerous public and private collections, including the Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Donnaregina in Naples and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid.
